The clinically validated Viva Wellbeing Blood Pressure Monitor has been designed to be simple and easy to use. The monitor has only two buttons, one for checking your previous readings (M) and one to start inflating the cuff. The monitor inflates in under 60s and will reveal your blood pressure (systolic and diastolic) along with your heart rate. There is also a reading indicator (WHO) on the left-hand side of the device to give you an instant indication of whether your blood pressure is normal or hypertensive.

Taking a reading:
You can take a reading in 4 easy steps:
- Avoid drinking alcohol and caffeine for 30minutes before taking a reading. Sit quietly and comfortably on a chair with legs uncrossed and feet flat on the ground, for 5 minutes, with an even surface in front of you.
- Place your arm on the surface in front of you so that it is supported level with your heart. Remove tight or thick clothing and wrap the cuff around your upper arm (preferably directly on the skin).
- Turn the blood pressure monitor on, remain silent and still throughout the reading as the cuff automatically inflates to restrict the blood flow in your arm as it gauges your blood pressure. This will last for a short time.
- Once an accurate reading is taken the cuff automatically deflates and a reading is displayed on the monitor. Check the two numbers on the table below to understand what your reading means.
